3.1: Project Images
Landsat 8 satellite images on path 11 and row 60 downloaded from glovis with a 30 x 30 meters resolution were used for this study. The main image was taken by Landsat on August 31, 2013. Due to tropical weather’s constant precipitation, some cloud cover was inevitable in the images.

Google Earth’s cloud free image composite of this region was also used as a reference for our study. This cloud free image was not available on any of the Landsat imagery downloadable websites (ie. Glovis, EarthExplorer etc.).
